You’re sitting by the window, sipping a cup of coffee and reflecting on the years that have passed. Many of the things I passed up in my younger days because I was too busy, now feel like treasures.
As I smile at the photos my grandchildren have sent me on my phone, I suddenly realize that we’ve become a part of the digital age, too. Our smartphones, once a strange and intimidating thing, are now our daily companions.
It’s not uncommon for me to watch workout videos on YouTube in the morning to stay fit, and video call my grandchildren in the evening. It may seem like a slow, clumsy step to younger generations, but it’s how we’re changing too.
Sometimes I groan at the complexity of digital gadgets, but I think these challenges make our lives richer. If there’s one thing that’s timeless, it’s the warmth of our hearts for one another.
